In the book of Revelation, God speaks of a dragon that makes war with the remnant people, because they have aligned themselves with God. We know that God is the winner of the battle with the dragon. So, how do we recognize this remnant movement who stand with God?

The remnant movement in Revelation believes the same truths as the New Testament apostles. God’s early New Testament church was simple and Biblical. God’s last day church is simple and Biblical. In this way, the remnant people will teach what Jesus taught! For example, when Jesus said in John 11:11, “Lazarus is in the grave asleep,” we see the Bible referring to death as a peaceful sleep before the resurrection. When Jesus comes in the sky to rescue us, it's with all the power and glory of Heaven. It would make sense to find a group of people that continue to share Jesus’ teachings! Did you know that Adventists teach that death is a ‘sleep’ that will end when Jesus comes again?
The next identifying element of the remnant people is they will keep all the Ten Commandments, including the fourth, which reminds us to “remember the seventh-day Sabbath” Exodus 20:8. God’s character is unchanging, and He didn’t create arbitrary rules to complicate those who want to obey Him. Applying the Ten Commandments will benefit the person who obeys them. There is a loving purpose for every commandment. God says of His followers in Hebrews 10:16, “I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.” The remnant people will lead others back to the Biblical Sabbath and worship their Creator.

An important identifying feature of the movement is they will preach the final, end-time three angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12 which includes:

“. . .the hour of God’s judgment has come. Worship Him who made heaven and earth . . .” (Revelation 14:7). God’s last-day church will call for worship of Him as Creator.

“Babylon is fallen” (Revelation 14:8). God’s church for today does not identify with Babylon. In Revelation 18:4 we see that this church must call people out of Babylon, saying “. . . Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins . . .”

A warning to be aware of the beast and his image and his mark (Revelation 14:9-11). God’s people will tell others how to avoid the mark of the beast.

Jesus says these are His three important last-day messages to take to the world. His people will carry out His instruction because they love Him and will warn the world out of their love for others.

The Seventh-day Adventist movement is known for preaching the three angels’ messages and for supporting religious freedom and the separation of church and state. This focus sets Seventh-day Adventist beliefs apart from other popular movements in the Christian church.
Revelation’s end-time people will also have the gift of prophecy to proclaim and teach Bible prophecies to the world. Beginning in the United States in the 1800’s and spreading across North America, Ellen G. White and the Adventist movement preached the good news. After the Great Disappointment of 1844, Ellen G. White received prophetic visions that highlighted long-forgotten truths for the end-time world. Aided by the gift of prophecy, the Holy Spirit led Adventists to “keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17). In Revelation 19:10, it clarifies that “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
God’s people will teach that God’s investigative judgment is now in session in the heavenly sanctuary and that we worship and honor Him as Creator by keeping His Sabbath, the sign of His creative power. The remnant will call people to a total commitment to Christ in the great controversy between good and evil.

The remnant movement will be a worldwide mission-driven movement, spreading the gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. It will be a movement that accepts men and women of all races, all language groups, all cultures and all creeds. It will be a movement that rejects the belief that God is the God of only one race or people.

Importantly, this end-time movement will teach that salvation is only through Christ Jesus. He is the everlasting gospel. The true remnant people will stress Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame by the blood of the Lamb.” God’s last day people are overcomers of sin. They become like their master Jesus. God’s church will clarify that salvation and righteousness come by faith in Jesus Christ alone. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” Acts 4:12.
They will exemplify Christ in how they live their lives; maintaining a healthy mind and body. The remnant will encourage people to treat their bodies like a temple of God, to promote overall wellness in both body and mind, exemplifying the positive attitude of a Christian.
So what movement or group of people fit this description? Is there a church that does this today? Yes! Seventh-day Adventism is a rapidly growing Christian denomination, made up of over 18 million members participating in local conferences in over 215 countries. It also honors God through teaching and application of a healthy lifestyle.

Jesus warned His disciples, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man” (Luke 17:26). Noah appealed to men and women to enter the ark of safety. The majority rejected God’s call, but God still had a few faithful people who entered through the ark’s door. The faithful stepped out from the majority, away from the popular masses. They took a step in faith and got into the ark, choosing eternal life. Today, there is a call to obey God and get into His ark of safety, His remnant movement.

Noah preached: Repent of your sins. Come out of the world. Get into the Ark. Judgment is coming. The end is upon us!
The remnant church is preaching: Repent of your sins. Come out of the world! Get into the Ark — the true church. Judgment is upon us. Jesus is coming!
Do you want to be one of those that keeps the commandments of God and has the testimony of Jesus? This group is open to anyone that believes in the word of God. Do you feel Him calling you to continue in your walk with Him into more and more light? Today is the day to "follow the lamb wherever He goes” (Revelation 14:4).

Cami Oetman

Ten years ago, Cami Oetman had a real encounter with God that would change her life forever. She was a successful entrepreneur at the time, and the transition wasn’t easy. However, the truth Cami will share in this series was so compelling that she knew every human being in the world should experience the love of Jesus as she had.
Within three years, she had preached 350 Bible presentations. Today, as a vice president for Adventist World Radio, Cami travels the world documenting the miracles that take place when people give their hearts to Jesus.
It may seem difficult to imagine yourself understanding Bible prophecy. Cami couldn’t either. She had spent two decades in the modeling world—in front of and behind the camera. She had also used her master’s degree in social work to care for hospice patients. She then started a successful retail business. But no one can predict how they will react when they have a real experience with God!
“I believe that this is the most important message people need to hear in 2020. I’m humbled by this opportunity and excited to share the incredible hope and peace we can find in the Bible. I hope you will join me!”
